I write to you today from the 2023 Digital Credentials Summit, currently underway in Dallas. Edalex is a proud sponsor this year, and has been filled with interesting discussions and presentations. There in person? Come say hello at our booth!
We're very excited about the release of our Credentialate Alliance Research project results conducted in collaboration with multiple cross-sector international partners. The research's key findings are packed with insights that we're pleased to share with you - including that 76% of learners feel more confident speaking about their skills after receiving a personal evidence record. In our latest blog post, we look further at why personal evidence is on the rise and its impacts on the stakeholders of the skills ecosystem. Read in detail below.
We're also delighted to announce our partnership with Learning Vault - a company that shares with us a common vision and passion for ensuring an open and interoperable skills ecosystem. We're already been able to co-develop a world-first solution that recognises progression towards mastery with Provisional Evidence Records. Further information can be found below.
NEWS - Edalex Credentialate Alliance research shows 76% of learners more confident in expressing skills
We're thrilled to release the results of our Credentialate Alliance research project and share key findings, outcomes, and future implications - including that 76% of learners are more confident speaking about their skills after receiving a personal evidence record. "Credentialate’s personal evidence record gave learners next-level understanding of what they had learned and how they could apply it in their careers. They felt informed and empowered" - said Dan McFadyen, Managing Director at Edalex.
As part of the Global Victoria EdTech Innovation Alliance (GVEIA) program, the Alliance comprised Education Design Lab, the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne School of Professional and Continuing Education (MSPACE) and the University of Dayton’s Institute of Applied Creativity for Transformation (IACT).
BLOG - How Personal Evidence Paints the Full Picture for Educators, Learners, and Employers
Personal evidence and the skills they recognise are game changers for learners to earners and those seeking to progress in their careers. Nowadays the workforce is far more mobile than ever. Key to enabling mobility is personal evidence records that provide rich context, are skills-based and help learners showcase their skills. And learners aren’t the only ones who benefit - educators and employers get a fuller picture from evidence that is personal to the learner, digital, portable, verifiable and that aligns with the skills industries are actually looking for.

As the result of the newly formed partnership with Learning Vault, we're delighted to announce updates to Credentialate: the ability to recognise progression towards mastery through Provisional Evidence Records, and a redesign of its Personal Evidence Record, which includes the introduction of greater labour market context. These enhancements extend the usability of the platform and provide greater value to learners.
