Next Generation Learning is about the intelligent use of technology to develop innovative learning models and personalised educational pathways. It seeks to answer:

• How do we personalise learning to accelerate and deepen understanding and knowledge retention?
• How do we encourage persistence and completion in spite of the competing demands of students’ lives?

The answer is that we can make learning transitions easier using technologies that are available now and can deliver on the desired outcome of an empowered and confident learner. 

Technology is an enabler of the change we seek for education. The EdTech story needs to be more than tech, it needs to be centred on the learners, the institutions, and the system it seeks to impact. In this through-provoking session, we’ll consider the role that technology will play in the education system of 2040.

The narrative around EdTech must extend beyond the technology itself. It must centre around the learners, the institutions, and the education system it aims to influence.
