One of learners' biggest fears is failure, such as making a mistake on a major test or in an important subject. But we know from life after school that we often learn much more from our failures than our successes. 

A growth mindset, as defined by Positive Psychology, is “believing that your brain can grow and you can learn many new things. You are not born smart; you become smart.”

Adopting a growth mindset early is crucial for learners of all ages, and education must shift from focusing on grades to emphasizing skills and growth to address future challenges, particularly in the K-12 environment. Fortunately, recent advancements in EdTech can help cultivate this mindset.

Vote for Edalex: Finalist in the 'Competency-Based Innovation' Category of the 2024 Learning Impact Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that Edalex was selected as a finalist in the 'Competency-Based Innovation' category of the 2024 Learning Impact Awards by 1EdTech Consortium. The award focuses on the ‘Deployment of a Learner Dashboard for Mastery Learning’ leveraging the Credentialate platform. The Learner Dashboard was co-developed with partner and fellow EdTech company Learning Vault and with, and for, the Hunter School of the Performing Arts (HSPA).

The Learner Dashboard leverages 1EdTech LTI and Open Badges standards for secure interoperability and a seamless user experience, benefiting learners, parents, teachers, and administrators. It enables comprehensive mastery-based learning, fosters learner agency, and enhances communication among all stakeholders.

Winners will be announced on 4 June 2024 at the Conference in Salt Lake City. We’d love your support to help us win this prestigious award. Online community voting is now open to the public until June 3 at 5:00 PM MDT (June 4 at 9:00 AM AEST).
